Blepharoplasty also known as eyelid surgery is performed mainly for aesthetic reasons. Upper Blepharoplasty essentially removes skin and or fat depending upon the excess skin and or fat. Whereas in lower blepharoplasty the idea is to remove or reposition excess fat and give a contoured eyelid. We can combine lateral canthopexy along with lower Blepharoplasty in selected cases.
