NFC wallet is a mobile Digital wallet that supports business applications with communications using secured devices that use a special chip on the smartphone called Secure Element (SE). With the advantages of Secure Element in NFC Chip, the wallet can store credit/debit cards, access cards, coupons, loyalty cards, prepaid cards, vouchers, tickets, and many other contents in the same wallet and manage them.

The transit industry is upgrading the payment infrastructure by embracing the latest technologies and deploying digital payments. AFCS, an integrated ticketing system, automates the ticketing at public transport networks like buses, metros, rails, etc., AFCS allows fast payment transactions and effective fare collection without much human intervention. It also provides merchants with a platform for better management.

The POS and mobile terminal manufactures do provide their own Terminal Management Systems, but these can be used to only manage terminals manufactured and supported by them. Keeping this in mind, there would then be multiple Terminal Management Systems adding to the complexity to manage operationally.

Currently, a consumer mobile phone cannot communicate with the standard POS terminal at the merchant location. This can be overcome if the mobile phone through GPRS/NFC and BLE technology can connect to the POS terminal, pass on the card information stored on it to the POS terminal.
